Ducati has just launched the Scrambler 800 Icon Dark, a new addition to its popular Scrambler lineup. Building on the classic Icon model, this motorcycle offers a sleek blacked-out design at a more accessible price point. Aimed at attracting a broader audience, Ducati has introduced the Icon Dark to address the rising costs of its bikes over recent years and to cater to evolving customer preferences.
Powered by the same 803cc air-cooled V-twin engine as its predecessor, the Scrambler 800 Icon Dark delivers a peak power of 73bhp, with an A2 variant available that produces 47bhp. It features a six-speed gearbox for smooth performance. Riders will appreciate the inclusion of two riding modes—Rain and Sport—alongside advanced features like cornering ABS and a bidirectional quick-shifter, enhancing both safety and versatility.
With a competitive price tag of £9495 (approximately Rs 10.43 lakh), the Scrambler 800 Icon Dark is positioned slightly lower than the original Icon model. Set to arrive in India by mid-2025, it is poised to become the most affordable offering in Ducati’s lineup, making it an attractive option for those seeking a stylish yet budget-friendly motorcycle.
