2024 Royal Enfield Scram 440 Launched !! Now with 6 speed

Royal Enfield Scram 440 2024: A Powerful Adventure Motorcycle

The Royal Enfield Scram 440 2024 is a striking motorcycle that promises a robust blend of performance, comfort, and off-road capability. As Royal Enfield enthusiasts eagerly awaited this launch, the Scram 440 has created quite a buzz in the biking community. This new model brings several upgrades over its predecessor, the Himalayan, with a more refined engine, enhanced suspension, and a fresh look. In this article, we’ll dive deep into the key features and improvements of the 2024 Scram 440 and what makes it an excellent choice for both new and experienced riders.

Key Changes in the Scram 440 2024

The 2024 Scram 440 isn’t just a cosmetic update; it features significant upgrades to its performance and design. The engine, for example, has been bored out from the previous 410cc unit to a larger 443cc engine. This increase in engine size results in a noticeable boost in power and torque. The output now stands at 25.4 HP and torque has also been improved to 34 Nm. These changes promise a more enjoyable riding experience, especially for off-road adventures, where extra torque and power come in handy.

 Design and Color Options

One of the first things that stand out about the Scram 440 is its vibrant and attractive colorways. Royal Enfield offers five different color schemes for riders to choose from. For example, you’ll find combinations like white, gray, and teal, as well as blue and white versions. What sets these colorways apart is the choice of wheels — some models feature alloys, while others come with spoked wheels, with the latter offering a more traditional off-road look. Additionally, tire options include tube and tubeless types, depending on the variant.

 Engine and Performance

The heart of the Scram 440 is its upgraded 443cc engine. Royal Enfield increased the engine size by 3mm to offer more power and better low-end tractability. With a power output of 25.4 HP and 34 Nm of torque, the Scram 440 offers improved performance over its predecessor, the Himalayan. Riders will feel the difference during city commutes and especially on rugged terrains, where the additional torque provides a smoother and more controlled experience.

 Improved Suspension and Handling

The Scram 440 2024 is designed for both on-road and off-road adventures, which is why its suspension system has been upgraded. The front features 199mm of travel, while the rear suspension offers 180mm. This generous suspension travel ensures the Scram can tackle bumpy trails and rough roads with ease. Moreover, Royal Enfield reinforced the chassis to make it sturdier, offering better handling and durability during intense off-road riding.

 Seat Height and Rider Accessibility

For those who may have found the previous model a bit too tall, the Scram 440 has made improvements to the seat height. At 795mm, the seat height is now more accessible to a wider range of riders, including those who may not have the longest legs. This adjustment makes the Scram 440 an excellent option for shorter riders who still want to experience the thrill of adventure motorcycling.

ABS Switch and Other Rider-Friendly Features

Royal Enfield took rider feedback seriously and introduced several new features on the Scram 440. One of these is the switchable ABS, which allows riders to disable the rear ABS for better control when riding off-road. The switchgear is also more user-friendly compared to the previous models, with buttons that are easy to operate, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable riding experience.

 Exhaust Sound and Performance

While the Scram 440 is designed for performance, its exhaust sound is more practical than dramatic. The exhaust note has been refined to ensure it doesn’t overpower the rider but still gives off a satisfying growl. It's a noticeable change from earlier models and suits the Scram's off-road persona without being overly loud.

 Instrument Cluster and Tech Features

The Scram 440 features a well-designed instrument console that includes a speedometer marked up to 160 km/h, a fuel gauge, a clock, and a gear indicator. Riders will also appreciate the two trip meters and the ability to toggle through them easily using a button. This tech update provides all the essential information without being overly complicated.

 Accessory and Payload Capacity

The Scram 440 is also more versatile when it comes to carrying luggage. Thanks to the increased payload capacity, riders can now install a top box with 40L of capacity, making it perfect for long-distance touring. Royal Enfield also offers seven new accessories for the Scram 440, including better lighting and luggage options.

 Brake Upgrades for Better Safety

Safety is a top priority for Royal Enfield, and the Scram 440 features several improvements in this area. The brakes have been upgraded for better bite and sharper performance, both at the front and rear. With dual-channel ABS and a 1917 wheel setup, the Scram 440 ensures you have maximum control and confidence during your rides.

 Gearbox Upgrades

Another significant update is the new six-speed gearbox, which enhances the top speed and overall performance. With smoother gear shifts and improved low-end tractability, the Scram 440 offers a more refined riding experience. Whether you're riding on highways or dirt tracks, this upgrade is bound to make your experience more enjoyable.

 Off-road and On-road Performance

The Scram 440 is a perfect blend of on-road and off-road capabilities. With its improved suspension, reinforced chassis, and powerful engine, this motorcycle is more than ready for adventure. Whether you’re commuting through the city or tackling difficult trails, the Scram 440 delivers excellent performance on both terrains.

Target Audience for the Scram 440

The Scram 440 is aimed at riders who may find larger bikes like the Himalayan intimidating. It offers a more accessible price point and is easier to handle. It’s perfect for commuters who occasionally like to explore off-road paths and weekend adventurers who want a bike that can handle multiple riding conditions.
