Key Differences from Scrambler 400X:
Alloy Wheels and Tires: The test mule features different alloy wheels equipped with MRF tires, replacing the Metzeler Tourance tires found on the 400X.
Suspension: The upside-down (USD) fork is now blacked out, as opposed to the gold-colored units on the 400X.
Handlebar and Rear Components: The handlebar, pillion grab rail, and rear fender are painted black, indicating cost-cutting measures.
Seat Configuration: A single-piece seat replaces the split seats, and the knuckle guards have been removed.
Tail Light: The test mule is equipped with a new LED tail light, differing from the one on the 400X.
Despite these changes, the core features remain consistent with the Scrambler 400X, including the semi-digital instrument cluster and the 398cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This engine currently delivers 39.5 bhp and 37.5 Nm of torque in the 400X, and it is expected to maintain similar performance in the new variant or it may be having a cut down version like the speed T4.
The new Scrambler variant appears close to production readiness, with a potential launch in India anticipated in early 2025. This model aims to offer a more budget-friendly option for enthusiasts seeking the Scrambler experience.
