2025 Ather 450S, 450X Launched with more features || Price Starts At Rs 1.3 Lakh

Ather Energy has unveiled its 2025 lineup of electric scooters, introducing the updated 450S and 450X models. 

These scooters come with new features, color options, and pricing adjustments aimed at enhancing the riding experience for consumers.

The 2025 Ather 450 series is available in multiple variants:

  • Ather 450S: Priced at ₹1,29,999 (ex-showroom Bengaluru), this model has seen a price increase of ₹4,400. The Pro Pack, which adds several features, is now priced at ₹14,000, reflecting a ₹1,000 hike. This brings the total increase to ₹5,400 for the 450S with the Pro Pack.

  • Ather 450X (2.9 kWh): This variant is now priced at ₹1,46,999 (ex-showroom Bengaluru), marking a ₹6,400 increase. It includes new features such as adjustable traction control and Magic Twist technology. Additionally, it comes equipped with a 700W AC charger as standard, significantly reducing charging times compared to the previous 350W charger.

  • Ather 450X (3.7 kWh): Available at ₹1,56,999 (ex-showroom Bengaluru), this model has a minimal price hike of ₹2,000. It retains most of its previous features while introducing new color options and the Magic Twist feature with two levels of adjustment.

New Features and Enhancements

The 2025 Ather 450 series introduces several notable features:

  • Multi-Mode Traction Control: Exclusive to the 450X and 450 Apex models, this feature enhances safety by preventing wheel slippage on low-friction surfaces. It offers three selectable modes tailored for specific conditions:

    • Rain Mode: Prioritizes safety on wet and slippery surfaces by minimizing wheel slip.

    • Road Mode: Balances safety and performance for everyday rides.

    • Rally Mode: Allows controlled wheel slip for off-road enthusiasts.

  • Magic Twist: Ather’s proprietary throttle system enables riders to accelerate and decelerate by twisting the throttle forward or releasing it, respectively. This technology allows the scooter to come to a complete halt even at full battery charge, enhancing control and convenience. Previously available on select models, Magic Twist has now been extended to the 2025 450X.

  • Multi-Compound Tyres: Developed in collaboration with MRF, these tyres improve grip and efficiency, enhancing the real-world TrueRange across the lineup. For instance, the 450X (3.7 kWh) now achieves a TrueRange of 130 km, while the 450S and 450X (2.9 kWh) offer a TrueRange of up to 105 km.

Charging Enhancements

The 2025 Ather 450X (2.9 kWh) now includes a 700W AC charger as standard, reducing charging times significantly compared to the previous 350W charger. This enhancement allows for faster charging, improving convenience for riders.

Software and Connectivity

The latest AtherStack 6 software introduces advanced features to enhance connectivity and usability, including:

  • Google Maps Integration: For seamless navigation.

  • Alexa Integration: Allows voice commands for.

  • WhatsApp Notifications: Displayed directly on the dashboard.

  • Ping My Scooter: Helps locate the scooter using sound and visual cues.

  • Live Location Sharing: Enables real-time location sharing with preset contacts.
