Ola Electric has unveiled its latest Gen-3 electric scooters, introducing significant advancements over the previous generation. 

The new lineup offers a range of models with varying battery capacities, performance metrics, and features to cater to diverse customer preferences.

Pricing and Availability

The Gen-3 scooters are priced starting at ₹79,999 (ex-showroom), with the flagship S1 Pro+ 5.3 kWh model priced at ₹1,69,999. These introductory prices are valid for the next seven days, after which they may be revised. Sales have commenced on Ola's official website and authorized dealerships, with deliveries set to begin in mid-February.

Key Features and Improvements

  • Brake-By-Wire Technology: All Gen-3 models feature Brake-By-Wire technology, which, combined with single-channel ABS, enhances regenerative braking efficiency and overall safety.

  • Mid-Mounted Motor: Departing from the hub motor design of earlier models, the Gen-3 scooters now utilize a mid-mounted motor across all variants, including the base S1X Gen-3.

  • Chain-Drive System: The drivetrain has transitioned from a belt-drive to a chain-drive system, maintaining refinement while promising improved durability.

  • Integrated Electronics: A single integrated board now manages all vehicular electronics, increasing manufacturing efficiency and reducing costs by up to 31%.

  • Move OS 5: The latest operating system introduces features like DIY mode for granular control over regenerative braking and throttle response, smartwatch app integration, Roadtrip Mode, and Bharat Mood.

  1. S1X Gen-3:

    • Battery Options: 2 kWh, 3 kWh, and 4 kWh
    • Range: Up to 242 km on a single charge (4 kWh variant)
    • Peak Power: 7 kW (9.38 bhp)
    • Top Speed: 123 km/h
    • Display: 4.3-inch segmented color LCD

  2. S1X+:

    • Battery: 4 kWh
    • Peak Power: 11 kW (14.75 bhp)
    • Top Speed: 125 km/h
    • Additional Features: Front disc brake

  3. S1 Pro Gen-3:

    • Battery Options: 4 kWh and 5.3 kWh
    • Range: Up to 320 km on a single charge (5.3 kWh variant)
    • Peak Power: 13 kW (17.4 bhp)

The Gen-3 lineup also introduces new colors, graphics, premium grab handles, and wheel rim decals, enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the scooters. With these advancements, Ola Electric aims to strengthen its position in the electric two-wheeler market, offering consumers a blend of performance, technology, and style.
