 2025 MG Comet EV Arrived: Affordable Urban Mobility with Enhanced Features

MG Motor India has launched the 2025 MG Comet EV, a compact electric vehicle (EV) designed for urban commuters, starting at an attractive price of ₹4.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This updated model introduces several new features across its variants, enhancing convenience, comfort, and safety for city drivers.

Variant Breakdown and New Features

The 2025 MG Comet EV is available in five variants: Executive, Excite, Excite Fast Charge (FC), Exclusive, and Exclusive FC. Each variant caters to different user preferences, offering a range of features:

  • Excite and Excite FC Variants:

    • Equipped with a rear parking camera and power-folding ORVMs, enhancing safety and convenience.

  • Exclusive and Exclusive FC Variants:

    • Feature premium leatherette seats and a 4-speaker audio system, providing an upgraded in-cabin experience.

  • Fast Charge (FC) Variants:

    • Come with a 17.4 kWh battery pack, offering a range of up to 230 km on a single charge, catering to the needs of urban commuters.

MG Comet BLACKSTORM Edition

In February 2025, MG introduced the BLACKSTORM Edition to the Comet EV lineup, priced at ₹7.80 lakh. This special edition boasts unique features:

  • Exterior:

    • 'Starry Black' color with dark chrome and red accents, black MG badges, and 'Blackstorm' embroidered leatherette seats, offering a distinctive look.

  • Interior:

    • Equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, electronically adjustable ORVMs, and a 4-speaker audio system, enhancing the driving experience.

MG e-Shield: Comprehensive After-Sales Package

The 2025 MG Comet EV comes with the MG e-Shield program, providing customers with a comprehensive after-sales package:

  • Warranty:

    • 3 years / 1 lakh km vehicle warranty and an 8 years / 1.2 lakh km battery warranty, ensuring long-term peace of mind.

  • Roadside Assistance:

    • 3 years of Roadside Assistance (RSA), offering support during unforeseen situations.

  • Service:

    • Three free labor services for the first three scheduled services, reducing maintenance costs.
MG' BaaS PROGRAM

All the variants in the COMET EV lineup has the BaaS Service program. 



MG’s Commitment to EV Growth

Rakesh Sen, Head of Sales at JSW MG Motor India, highlighted the growing demand for the Comet EV, stating that its innovative design and user-friendly features have made it a preferred choice among city dwellers seeking practical mobility solutions for daily commutes. The increasing acceptance of the Comet EV corresponds to a 29% growth in sales in CY’24 compared to CY’23, underscoring MG's dedication to meeting evolving consumer need
